Case Study: EduCampus automates employee rehires and saves 120 days with Version 1

A Version 1 Case Study

EduCampus saves 14 days of manual effort with Version 1 automation

EduCampus, a shared services company for the higher education sector, faced a significant challenge when new legislation required Institutes of Technology to merge into Technological Universities. This process involved the manual rehiring of hundreds of employees onto a new HR system, a tedious and time-consuming task that took four minutes per employee and had to be completed under a strict deadline. Version 1 applied its expertise from developing its Maximise: Automated Testing solution to address this challenge.

Version 1 developed an automated script to handle the entire employee rehire process. The solution used a modular design driven by data files, which included features for error handling, test runs, and operation across multiple environments. This automation allowed the initial project to be completed overnight, saving an estimated 14 days of manual effort. The scripts are reusable for future mergers and are projected to save 120 days of manual work, making the entire rehire process feasible and efficient.
