Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Trust faced challenges in financial planning and reporting due to a heavy reliance on cumbersome spreadsheets. This made consolidating budgets from different divisions, which used varying assumptions and granularity, a slow and problematic process. The Trust also struggled to meet increasing demands for detailed reporting from NHSi. Version 1 implemented their Q.health Planning and Budgeting solution using their Journey to Cloud methodology. This provided the Trust with a centralized application for all finance data, applying consistent rules and assumptions. The results included a significantly streamlined planning process that saves time, the ability to report on and forecast down to the cost center level, and empowered managers with integrated Excel-based reporting.
