Allied Irish Bank cuts planning risk with Version 1 after 7 sprints

Allied Irish Bank (AIB) faced significant challenges with its planning and budgeting process, which relied on large, complex, and inconsistent Excel spreadsheets. This system was time-consuming, prone to errors, and made data consolidation difficult, preventing the bank from achieving the financial visibility required for its growth strategy. To address this, AIB partnered with Version 1 to implement Oracle EPM Planning Cloud Service (PBCS).

Version 1 utilized its Journey to Cloud methodology to design and implement the new solution in a series of sprints. This eliminated AIB's reliance on spreadsheets, standardized assumptions, and automated data calculations and aggregation. The results delivered by Version 1 included a significantly reduced planning process time, improved data accuracy, and the new ability to create streamlined monthly rolling forecasts, allowing users to spend more time analyzing data rather than managing the process.
