Global Automobile Manufacturer, one of the world’s leading automotive makers, needed to strengthen data security at its remote, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in India. Concerned about internal and external threats, the company looked for an affordable two-factor authentication and identity/access management approach that could scale with future growth. It turned to Versasec and its vSEC:CMS smart card and virtual smart card management system.

Versasec deployed vSEC:CMS T-Series for an initial test, then helped the customer expand the project into a full rollout with vSEC:CMS S-Series. The solution delivered day-one security, supported smart cards and other two-factor devices, and scaled as the plant grew to more than 400 licenses. As a result, Global Automobile Manufacturer says its India facility is now better protected against internal and external threats, and the deployment created a blueprint for future remote manufacturing sites.
