Technologie Vertriebs und Beratungs GmbH (TVB) is an Upper Bavarian specialist that produces highly complex graphite electrodes for the mould & die industry. Faced with high-mix, high-volume work and very short lead times—often up to 150 electrodes delivered within 3–10 days—TVB needed a reliable, error-free workflow to handle intricate geometries, tight tool-life constraints and rapid NC program turnaround.

By implementing the VISI CAD/CAM suite integrated with their ERP, TVB automated electrode extraction, NC programming and shopfloor documentation (VISI Electrode, VISI Machining and modelling), and linked CAM output to CMM inspection and tooling sheets. The result: consistent CAD/CAM data, dedicated milling strategies for graphite, faster throughput and greater flexibility—enabling TVB to produce 12,000–15,000 electrodes annually for ~70 customers and become a sought-after partner for rapid, bespoke electrode production.
