A Vero Software Case Study
Bromley Sports, founded by Olympic skeleton champion Kristan Bromley, designs and manufactures high‑performance sleds for elite athletes worldwide and is expanding into the mass‑market Baseboard. The company needed to produce extremely precise, multi‑material assemblies (60+ carbon‑fibre and stainless parts), tailor sleds to individual athlete ergonomics, and bring tooling and machining in‑house to speed development and scale from low‑volume bespoke sleds to thousands of units.
To meet that challenge Bromley Sports adopted VISI CAD/CAM for integrated surface/solid modelling, multi‑axis toolpaths and CNC simulation, added a Doosan VMC with a Nikken rotary table, and uses ROMER laser scanning to capture athlete geometry. The change enabled faster in‑house tool design, collision‑free machining, higher‑precision carbon‑fibre tooling and reduced hand finishing—helping athletes shave crucial tenths of a second from run times and positioning the business to deliver both Olympic‑winning sleds and volume Baseboards.
