A Vero Software Case Study
SIET Meccanica, founded in 2007 in Montespertoli (Florence), is a precision machining specialist focused on prototyping and small series for demanding sectors such as electric motors and turbine blades. To compete on complex, low-volume work — including 5‑axis milling, custom fixtures and processing CAD models from third parties — the company needed an efficient, integrated CAD/CAM solution and reliable local support to avoid costly collisions, blind areas and rework.
SIET adopted VISI CAD/CAM from Vero, implemented and supported by local reseller Syscam, giving them fully integrated 3D modelling, advanced 5‑axis toolpath generation, kinematic simulation and customized post-processing. The result was smoother programming and virtual dry‑runs, fewer collisions, easier fixturing and design-for-manufacture advice, enabling double‑digit revenue growth, certification, a team of 14, new niche products (e.g., back‑facing tools) and the capacity to deliver higher‑complexity, higher‑value parts.
