TVAR Pardubice, a Czech mould-maker, was commissioned by Elektro Bečov to produce a high‑volume plastic terminal cover requiring a complex double mould with slides, a variable split plane and precise venting. Facing the risk of hidden moulding problems (warpage, air traps, filling issues and poor gate placement) that would normally only appear during costly press trials, the company needed a way to validate and optimise the tool design up front.

Using Vero’s VISI suite—notably VISI Flow for plastic injection analysis plus VISI CAD/CAM and VISI Machining—TVAR performed preventative simulations to optimise gate locations, detect defects and refine the mould before manufacture. The approach eliminated trial‑and‑error rework, cut manufacturing time and material costs, and gave the team the confidence to produce the double mould on schedule.
