Case Study: T & G Engineering cuts high-precision job times from a day to an hour with Vero Software (Alphacam)

Tough Jobs Preferred by T & G, Where Models and Post Processing Are King

T & G Engineering is a Surrey-based specialist manufacturer of high-precision form tools and components—largely for the canning industry—working in hard materials to tolerances around 5 microns. Their challenge was producing complex, close-tolerance parts and multi-axis programs quickly and reliably: manual post-processing and unverified CAD models could slow jobs and risk costly rework.

By implementing tailored Alphacam post processors and the Part Modeler CAD/CAM tools for 2–7 axis machining, T & G now creates and edits programs fast, catches model issues before the workshop, and trains new programmers rapidly. The result: some high-precision jobs that used to take a day now take about an hour, improved surface and edge quality (3D radiuses, chamfers), greater multi-axis throughput, and the ability to exceed customer expectations.
