A Vero Software Case Study
Kinetic Innovations invented the ski~mojo, a spring‑loaded support that reduces leg fatigue and lets skiers ski longer, and wanted to keep development and manufacture UK‑based. They tasked Senior & Dickson with taking the concept from prototype to production under a tight schedule while solving manufacturability, weight and ergonomic issues.
Senior & Dickson used an integrated VISI CAD/CAM workflow and shopfloor toolpath generation on Hurco machines to produce rapid prototypes, full‑surface models and tooling; design changes (e.g., switching to glass‑filled nylon and reworking straps and calf geometry) were implemented quickly. The team delivered 11 full production moulds (with four major modifications) in a 12‑week window, cut design‑to‑production time by ~30%, eliminated data‑transfer problems and provided a one‑stop UK solution that met Kinetic’s requirements.
