Radan a Springboard for 5-Axis Laser Pioneers’ Development Plans

ELC Laser Group, a pioneer in Irish laser cutting and the only sheetmetal subcontractor in the Republic to offer 5-axis laser cutting, needed a more advanced way to program complex 3D parts and support its move toward a more design-focused, full-service fabrication role. Its existing CAD/CAM system could no longer meet growing demands, so the company turned to Vero Software and the RADAN suite, including the specialist Radm-ax module.

Vero Software implemented Radm-ax to program ELC Laser Group’s 5-axis Prima Rapido laser, enabling efficient handling of SolidWorks and other 3D models, accurate simulation, and collision checking. The result was a faster, more streamlined workflow that reduced programming time and improved cutting efficiency, speeding up the process by at least 20% while helping eliminate dry runs and costly errors.
