A Vero Software Case Study
Model Project, a Scarmagno, Italy-based model-making firm founded in 1972, was challenged to turn a rudimentary grass bob-sleigh concept into a safe, production-ready product for major ski resorts — including a two-seater variant — while protecting design data and accelerating time to market.
By using the VISI suite (VISI Design, VISI Modelling and VISI Machining) and FDM prototyping, the team engineered the polyethylene wheels, galvanised-iron safety brake and carving geometry with parametric and freeform tools and automatic dimensioning. Keeping all data in one system eliminated data loss, sped development, and resulted in a patented, production-ready bob-sleigh now rolling out to resorts in Italy, France and beyond.
