Turnell and Odell is a Northamptonshire precision engineering firm that supplies complex rotational mould tools—from 200mm cubes to two-metre pipe moulds—for industries including construction, medical and food. The company adopted SolidWorks for design and Edgecam for CAM, simulation and post-processing, and invested in high-speed Haas mills and a powerful workstation to handle the large files. Edgecam reliably processes millions of lines of code, prevents costly collisions via simulation, and turns half-day programming into 24 hours of unattended machining, enabling typical turnarounds of 2–12 weeks, faster delivery, and new business opportunities in rotational moulding and aerospace.
