A Vero Software Case Study
LGG Charlesworth is a specialist tool-moulding company supplying engineering polymers to sectors such as aerospace, medical and petrochemical. Their challenge was reliably predicting how complex moulds and tight‑tolerance parts would perform—whether made in‑house or by subcontractors—to avoid costly trial-and-error, manage multiple shrinkage behaviours and shorten long development cycles.
They adopted Vero Software’s VISI Flow injection‑simulation at quotation and full analysis stages to detect warpage, weld lines, air traps, optimal gating and cooling effects before tooling. The simulation enabled design adjustments, region‑specific shrinkage control and precise tool specifications for subcontractors, cutting development times dramatically (typical cycles reduced from about eight weeks; one 30‑week project completed in 16 weeks), reducing rework, improving costing accuracy and increasing confidence with customers and toolmakers.
