A Vero Software Case Study
LAG, a specialist French guitar maker founded in 1978 and based in Bédarieux, builds high-end, ergonomically sculpted instruments for artists worldwide while also producing competitively priced lines in Asia. As the brand pushed into larger markets it needed to modernize design and manufacturing to cut prototype and lead times without sacrificing the creativity, rare-wood finishes and surface quality that define its reputation.
To achieve this LAG invested in a custom Créneau Industriel CNC router and VISI CAD/CAM (with a NUM 720 post and local support), enabling hybrid solid/surface modelling, HSM toolpaths and rapid prototyping. The shop now machines four bodies and four necks simultaneously, produces designs in hours (500+ NC files in 18 months), reduces finishing and sanding costs, speeds turnaround to customers and preserves the company’s high-quality craftsmanship while supporting international growth.
