Kleiner Stanztechnik GmbH - Customer Case Study

Kleiner Stanztechnik GmbH, a Pforzheim-based specialist in high-performance stamping tools and precision stampings, produces more than 60 complex progressive forming tools a year for automotive, electronics, medical and other industries. Facing the need to optimise part geometry for producibility with progressive tools (for example replacing turned copper connectors with stamped parts) and to streamline workflows from quotation through design to NC programming, Kleiner needed a 3D-capable, tool-focused CAD/CAM solution.

Kleiner implemented VISI (Modelling, VISI Progress and VISI Machining) across design and production, using the same CAD model for design and NC programming and deploying Compass Technology for automatic feature recognition and standard toolpaths. The result was an integrated 3D process chain that guaranteed data interoperability, cut certain 2D/2.5D milling programming times by over 60%, and significantly improved efficiency across design and CAM workstations.
