A Vero Software Case Study
Kellerman Kitchen & Bath, founded in 1995 in Baton Rouge by Jack and Kurt Kellerman, builds high‑quality custom kitchens and baths and provides detailed online guidance for remodels. As their business grew, the CAM software bundled with their CNC router (purchased in 2000) proved cumbersome, required a separate CAD system, and couldn’t handle the company’s complex, custom designs without long programming times and trial cuts.
In 2014 they adopted Alphacam, which combines CAD and CAM, offers advanced nesting, solid simulation, engraving and tool‑creation features, and streamlined the workflow to draw, apply toolpaths, simulate and generate G‑code quickly. The switch cut programming time dramatically (from about four hours to one), enabled efficient nesting of large multi‑part jobs (e.g., 85 parts in seven shapes = 595 pieces), reduced material waste and rework, and delivered consistently accurate, high‑quality custom parts—expanding capabilities and productivity.
