J&M Mold (Fairport Harbour, OH), led by mechanical engineer David Martin, is a precision tool and die maker serving the plastic, aluminium and zinc injection industries. Facing pressure to shorten lead times, reduce machining costs and deliver first-time-right moulds (including reworking flawed imported tools), the shop needed a CAD/CAM and mould-analysis solution that fit lean manufacturing workflows.

J&M adopted the VISI software suite—VISI Flow, VISI Machining and VISI Mould—for upfront flow analysis, CAM programming and hybrid aluminium/steel tooling design.
