A Vero Software Case Study
Brick Kiln Composites is an Oxfordshire-based manufacturer of prepreg carbon fibre components for Formula 1 and high-end sports cars, producing thousands of different parts each year using autoclaves and multi-axis machining. As the company moves into road‑car manufacture and plans to double capacity, it needed ISO 9001:2008 accreditation and better production visibility, traceability and invoicing to win automotive contracts and meet stricter quality requirements.
Implementing the Javelin production planning and control system — including shop‑floor data capture, Crystal Reports, works‑order monitoring and advanced planning/scheduling — gave Brick Kiln real-time visibility of every stage of manufacture. The system shortened the ISO audit to two days, delivered full material and production traceability, automated invoicing and supports “what‑if” scheduling to minimise WIP and lead times, positioning the company to scale up for automotive work.
