A Vero Software Case Study
Gebr. Schwarz GmbH, a family-owned plastic injection moulding specialist founded in 1966, faced intense price and quality pressure from Eastern European and Asian competitors and needed a CAD/CAM solution able to handle complex tool design, large data volumes and unreliable external data. A demanding freshwater filter project — high static/dynamic pressures, tight tolerances, weld-line and shrinkage challenges, and a six-month turnaround — highlighted the limitations of generic systems and the need for a dedicated tool-and-die platform.
The company adopted VISI from Vero (since 2000) and rolled it out across 11 stations, using VISI Mould, Analysis, Electrode and Machining for design, simulation and CAM. VISI’s robust import, specialised tooling functions and integrated workflow enabled faster iterations, reliable conversions and internal filling analysis, delivering up to 10% lower tool costs, on-time serial production and company-wide adoption (external designers are now required to use VISI).
