A Vero Software Case Study
Faßnacht Mould‑Makers, a 15‑person German specialist in injection moulding founded in 1990, builds precision tools for automotive, medical, packaging and other industries while deliberately limiting growth to protect quality and workplace culture. The company’s challenge was to reliably handle complex moulds and poor or varying CAD data—winning a high‑stakes BMW central‑console housing job after a competitor struggled—while keeping turnaround fast and protecting its high‑precision machining capacity.
Faßnacht implemented the VISI Series CAD/CAM suite (Viewer, Modelling, Wire and Electrode modules) to import and automatically repair diverse CAD formats, define parting faces, produce 3D models, parts lists and GA drawings in just four weeks, and complete the tool in 16 weeks. The result was faster design‑to‑completion cycles, reduced load on precision machines, improved surface quality and continuity with external designers, ongoing software support and updates, and new contract wins thanks to more reliable, efficient delivery.
