Domteknika SA, a Swiss-French R&D and plastics engineering firm, partnered with DiedreDesign and Induct to develop the REDIGO‑SOFTCAR — an eco-friendly, zero‑emission vehicle commissioned by the Poitou‑Charente region. The challenge was to create a car that minimized pollution, used fewer and recyclable thermoplastics, met strict safety standards (e.g., avoiding weld lines near airbag deployment zones), and remained low‑cost to manufacture.

To meet these goals Domteknika benchmarked and adopted VISI Flow injection‑molding simulation software, supported by training from Vero and Afcoplast. VISI Flow enabled rapid, CAD‑independent analysis (filling, warpage, weld lines, air traps, gating), let them validate polymer choices, avoid manufacturing issues without major delays, and work three times faster than competitors — helping advance the REDIGO‑SOFTCAR toward production after strong showings at the Mondial de l’automobile.
