DEVA-Kunststoff-Technik use VISI for Airbus products

DEVA‑Kunststoff‑Technik GmbH (Lemgo) supplies several hundred injection‑moulded components for Airbus civil models as well as the A400M and Eurofighter, specialising in high‑temperature plastics (Ultem, Radel, PEEK, Teflon) made in fully hardened steel tools and largely automated production. The company’s challenge was to reliably process complex third‑party CAD data (primarily CATIA), design and validate precision moulds for safety‑critical parts, and predict injection behaviour and distortion to meet strict aerospace weight, stability and temperature requirements.

DEVA implemented Vero Software’s VISI suite—native CATIA import, hybrid modelling, VISI Mould, Analysis, Electrode, Machining 3D/5‑Axis and VISI Flow—giving an integrated CAD/CAM/CAE workflow and extensive translators. This delivered excellent handling of supplier data, fast design iterations, accurate plastic‑flow and distortion simulation, simplified 5‑axis programming and shorter testing cycles, resulting in increased process safety, time savings and reliable compliance with Airbus specifications.
