A Vero Software Case Study
Brad Jones Racing (BJR) builds two Holden VF Commodore cars for the Australian V8 Supercar Championship, each containing more than 500 machined components made from aluminium, steels and polymers and regulated by strict life and load limits. The team needed a CAM solution that could handle everything from simple 2‑axis work to complex 5‑axis and mill‑turn machining, integrate seamlessly with new multi‑axis machine controls (including an Okuma Multus with OSP P300S), and enable rapid manufacture of replacement parts while maintaining quality and tight lead times.
Edgecam, supplied and customised in Australia by G‑Zerofive, delivered the software, tailored post processors, machine‑specific macros (including Okuma safety measures), support for twin/multipoint tools and coolant options, plus training and automation tools. That partnership enabled fast, high‑quality production of chassis components, tooling and composite moulds across Haas and Okuma equipment, improved consistency and lead times, and delivered “maximum output with minimal input,” keeping BJR competitive on and off the track.
