A Vero Software Case Study
Atscott Manufacturing Company, a 78-person contract manufacturer in Pine City, MN, machines and assembles a wide range of metal and plastic products for industries including aerospace and the military. Faced with hundreds of different open jobs, small lot sizes (often under 50), tight tolerances and constant changeovers, Atscott needed a way to speed programming and reduce setups while maintaining accuracy and fast turnaround for repeat customers.
Atscott adopted Edgecam CAM (in full-control mode) to import solid models reliably, customize post processors with the Code Wizard, and verify toolpaths with simulation. The result was fewer setups and shorter cycle times, higher precision on smaller, tighter parts, and much greater shop efficiency—enabling one operator to handle about 90% of new orders and reducing programmer shop-floor hours.
