A Vero Software Case Study
Alan Nuttall Ltd, a UK store‑fitter founded in 1966 with 600 employees across three sites, was struggling to meet rapidly growing demand for its wood display systems despite investing in multiple CNC routers. The company needed a more automated, higher‑throughput solution to improve material utilisation and maintain tight tolerances on quick turnarounds.
They installed an Alphacam‑driven manufacturing cell (Biesse Rover, Winstore retrieval and Biesse saw) that automates nesting, labelling and cutting via bespoke macros and CSV workflows. The result is precise stock planning, faster, more accurate production (0.5 mm tolerance), easier prototyping, improved tooling (switch to diamond cutters) and significantly better material yield.
