A Vero Software Case Study
The Organic Bloom, a Tulsa-based shop that makes highly customizable picture frames (16 styles, 48 sizes, 53 colors), produces about 100 custom frames a day—roughly 33,000 square inches of MDF—with a crew of 10. Growth exposed limits in their prior CAM software: it couldn’t deliver the automated consistency, efficient nesting, or two-sided machining needed for small-batch, highly varied orders and the new Weeke 5' x 10' CNC router.
Switching to Alphacam provided reverse-side nesting, automated tooling and nesting, fixed-orientation control, and support for complex multi-depth parts, allowing accurate front-and-back cutting and material savings. The result was faster, more consistent production (including complex iPad frames and paper-thin folds), elimination of time-consuming manual mounting, improved product quality, and the capacity to scale and pursue new designs.
