Almac is a Swiss CNC machine-tool manufacturer serving the high-precision watch industry and other micro-machining markets. Faced with the need to produce components to tolerances as tight as five microns, eliminate spindle tilt and thermal displacement, and automate formerly hand-finished decorations like perlage, Almac needed machines and CAM integration that could guarantee repeatable, day-and-night production quality.

Almac solved this with a unique design of four linear guide rails mounted on a solid cast-iron prism for unrivalled Z-axis stability, paired with Alphacam CAM software and custom MW Programmation macros (for perlage, serialising, probing and diamond settings) plus new Waveform 3D roughing for faster, consistent tool loads.
