A Vero Software Case Study
Almac is a Swiss CNC machine-tool manufacturer serving the high-precision watch industry and other micro-machining markets. Faced with the need to produce components to tolerances as tight as five microns, eliminate spindle tilt and thermal displacement, and automate formerly hand-finished decorations like perlage, Almac needed machines and CAM integration that could guarantee repeatable, day-and-night production quality.
Almac solved this with a unique design of four linear guide rails mounted on a solid cast-iron prism for unrivalled Z-axis stability, paired with Alphacam CAM software and custom MW Programmation macros (for perlage, serialising, probing and diamond settings) plus new Waveform 3D roughing for faster, consistent tool loads. The result is exceptional machining accuracy and surface decoration, reduced cycle times, and demonstrably better-quality components adopted by leading watchmakers.
