Air Source Ventilation - Customer Case Study

Air Source Ventilation, a UK ventilation solutions manufacturer, was struggling with an ageing 25‑year‑old Nisshinbo MTP 1000F punch press and slow, manual software inherited with the machine. Manual tool placement and nesting plus poor punch sequencing meant frequent sheet recoveries (about one in ten) that could take up to half an hour, creating excessive downtime just as the business and parts variety were growing.

They installed Radan Genesis entry‑level CAM to automate nesting, tooling lists, part IDs and program output, using subroutines and job-splitting to work around the press’s memory limits and adding bespoke macros for labels and slitting. The upgrade doubled sheet throughput, eliminated machine downtime, extended running to 13 hours a day, avoided investment in new machinery and freed staff to focus on growing the business.
