Preview of the Boulder County Farmers Markets Case Study

Boulder County Farmers Markets builds a local food movement with vermilion, investing $11 million in the community

Boulder County Farmers Markets, a long-standing community organization, faced the challenge of rebranding to reflect its new strategic shift from a simple market operator to a 501(c)(3) nonprofit leader of a local food movement. They partnered with the creative and marketing agency Vermilion to develop a new visual identity that could tell this evolved story.

Vermilion addressed this by crafting a new handcrafted and vibrant logo family and visual brand identity that expressed abundance and welcomed community involvement. The solution successfully repositioned the brand for its next chapter. As a result of its work, Boulder County Farmers Markets has built a thriving local food system, having invested $11 million in the community through local food sales and assisted 14,000 neighbors via its Food Access programs.
