Banque de France, the French central bank and a key pillar of the Eurosystem, faced the challenge of maintaining critical financial operations and adapting quickly during the Covid-19 crisis. With dispersed remote working and rapidly changing business needs, the bank needed a technology partner that could support business continuity, help digitize processes, and enable secure, agile changes to its information systems. Vermeg provided the support and flexibility needed, including assistance around the PRISME 7 system used for the Eurosystem’s purchasing program.
Vermeg helped Banque de France adapt operational processes and implement new products and services quickly, even as new issuers and securities had to be integrated as collateral. The bank reported that Vermeg’s products offered ease and agility in making critical adjustments, while also supporting the move toward fully digitized processes with built-in control principles such as four-eyes and six-eyes checks.
