St. Cyril of Alexandria Elevates Campus and Community Safety with Verkada

St. Cyril of Alexandria, a Catholic school in Tucson, Arizona, faced growing campus safety challenges from outdated analog cameras, poor lighting, limited access control, and gaps in perimeter security. With limited internal funding and aging infrastructure, the school needed a way to better protect students, staff, and parishioners.

With support from Verkada, St. Cyril is deploying a unified cloud-based security system including cameras, access control, intercoms, and alarms, funded by three Homeland Security grants totaling $450,000. The phased rollout, implemented with local integrator Oculens, will help the school detect threats proactively, respond faster with real-time alerts and live video sharing, and manage all activity through Verkada Command.
