A Verkada Case Study
Kedleston Group, a UK provider of special education and care environments for children with behavioral and autistic challenges, needed to replace a disparate, outdated CCTV setup across 16 sites. Its existing system was unreliable, offered limited coverage in some locations, and made it difficult to review incidents or retrieve usable footage. Verkada cameras and its cloud-based management platform were chosen to provide clearer imaging, remote access, and easier oversight across the estate.
Verkada implemented a scalable, plug-and-play camera system that Kedleston could install itself, with 90 cameras now deployed across the group. The new setup improved incident review, enabled clear, date-stamped footage for police use, and supported features such as number plate recognition and people analytics for safeguarding. The system has scaled smoothly across the UK, with no faulty cameras reported, and it is now built into new school and facility planning.
