How a School Grant is Enabling Security Innovation at a UK Campus

Mayfield School of Portsmouth, an all-through UK school of 1,500 pupils, needed to replace a decades-old, semi-operational CCTV system as part of a multi-million pound DfE campus rebuild and new STEAM centre. Cameras were online in minutes, staff can find and share footage from a mobile device (boosting Jeapes’s confidence in incident resolution), hours of footage can be reviewed in seconds, and the school met GDPR requirements after a security audit; heat-map and people-count insights improved drill planning and staffing allocation. The ongoing software updates and successful partnership with Verkada even led the school to name the new STEAM building after the vendor.
