A Verkada Case Study
Austin Hose, a multi-site supplier of hoses, fittings, and accessories across Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas, faced major coverage gaps and management headaches from a legacy DVR-backed surveillance setup. IT Manager Brandon Denney needed a standardized, scalable solution to eliminate blindspots, simplify cross-site management, and improve employee safety. To address this, Austin Hose turned to Verkada and its modern video security platform, including Verkada fisheye cameras and cloud-based management tools.
Verkada deployed a scalable system—so far 76 cameras covering two 150,000 sq. ft. Odessa locations—using fisheye cameras to achieve four angles with fewer devices and repurpose savings to expand coverage. Centralized administration and site-level access for branch managers streamlined monitoring, enabled safer workflows (e.g., remote observation of pressurized hose tests), and improved loss prevention; Verkada’s Face Search rapidly located an intruder so police could retrieve footage quickly. The result is broader, more efficient surveillance, measurable deployment growth, and demonstrable improvements in safety and incident response.
