How a Manufacturer Scaled Coverage Across Sites to Improve Asset Monitoring

Hanover Displays, a UK-based manufacturer of passenger information systems serving customers in 75 countries, needed to increase CCTV coverage across new and remote sites after recurring failures and costly, hard-to-replace NVR/server hardware made their legacy system unmaintainable. To scale easily and improve asset monitoring, Network Engineer Dan Lynch evaluated cloud options and selected Verkada’s security cameras and Command management software.

Verkada delivered a cloud-based solution that Lynch trialed for free, plugging cameras in and onboarding them in minutes; within 20 minutes of the first install he used Verkada’s motion grid to identify a license plate and share footage with police. The Verkada deployment enabled faster investigations, simple remote management and scalable rollouts, reduced onsite maintenance and downtime, and added long-term assurances like a 10-year product warranty and automatic Command updates.
