Adra, a leading housing association in North Wales, manages more than 7,000 homes for 15,000 residents across rural and urban communities. Facing costly, hard-to-scale legacy NVR systems, difficult site access, slow footage retrieval, and limited visibility into antisocial behaviour, Adra needed a more modern, proactive security approach. It turned to Verkada’s cloud-based camera platform to improve safety and simplify operations.

With Verkada, Adra deployed more than 600 cameras across its estates, including rapid rollouts on challenging legacy sites, and used AI-powered alerts, search tools, live link sharing, and API integrations for Power BI dashboards. The results were significant: investigations that once took weeks now take minutes, police have made arrests within hours, maintenance has dropped to “almost nil,” energy and call-out costs have been reduced, and antisocial behaviour has declined across car parks, bin stores, and communal areas.
