A Verkada Case Study
Keystone Human Services, a global nonprofit serving children and adults across four U.S. states and international programs, was managing a patchwork of security systems from multiple vendors. Its small IT team struggled with separate consoles for cameras, access control, intercoms, and alarms, creating blind spots, extra work, and slow incident response.
Verkada unified Keystone Human Services’ security on one cloud-managed platform, including Command, Cameras, Access Control, Intercom, and Alarms. The rollout enabled mobile credentials, reliable intercoms, and centralized monitoring, letting a four-person IT team manage 178 devices across 12 locations without adding headcount. Investigations now take seconds instead of hours, door schedules take only a few clicks, and the organization also uses the system for service dog training, Head Start safety, and occupancy reporting.
