A Verkada Case Study
Dairy Farmers of America (DFA), a national milk marketing cooperative operating 86 processing plants and serving more than 12,500 farmer-members, faced fragmented, legacy physical security systems that were costly to maintain and hard to manage centrally. Seeking an enterprise-grade, easy-to-manage solution, DFA selected Verkada to standardize video, access control, alarms, and sensors on a single, cloud-native platform (Verkada Command) with professional monitoring and end-to-end data security.
Verkada deployed integrated cameras, access control panels, alarms, and sensors across DFA sites, enabling centralized configuration, role-based access, and native alarm-to-video workflows. The rollout secured 30+ sites (single-camera monitoring for critical IT at 30 locations and full-site deployments at 7) with plans for 15 more, eliminated the need for separate alarm panels or third-party service calls, and delivered measurable benefits: zero false alarm calls, footage shared in about five seconds, 10–15 second false-alarm verification, unlimited cloud archiving, and faster in-house management and incident response — all through Verkada’s unified platform.
