From the Field to the Stands: Protecting 30,000 Fans at Every Game

Chiba Lotte Marines, the professional baseball team behind ZOZO Marine Stadium in Chiba, needed a more reliable and scalable video monitoring solution to help protect up to 30,000 fans per game and support its small IT team. Before Verkada, their existing cameras were limited in what they could do, making it harder to manage stadium safety and security efficiently.

Verkada provided a hybrid cloud security platform with cameras, including CP52-E pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) cameras and the Command management interface. The team gained 360-degree coverage, smart search, AI analytics, Sentry Mode for after-hours monitoring, and the ability to view and share footage quickly from anywhere. As a result, Chiba Lotte Marines improved crowd safety, incident response, and operational visibility across a stadium that welcomes more than a million visitors each year.
