Township of Lakewood improves maintenance and promotes safety with Reveal

The Township of Lakewood’s Public Works Department needed better fleet technology to replace an outdated radio communication system that was often down and disrupting operations. Working with Verizon Connect, the township adopted the Reveal fleet management platform to improve visibility, reduce downtime, hold drivers accountable, and help resolve citizen complaints.

With Verizon Connect Reveal, Lakewood gained live vehicle tracking, breadcrumb trails, reporting, maintenance scheduling, and dispatch support, plus safety alerts for speeding and fast acceleration. The township said mileage updates into Fleetio every 24 hours made maintenance scheduling easier and more accurate, and the system helped prove where vehicles were during disputes and improve driver safety and productivity.
