Midwest-based Trucking Company Stays Compliant and Productive With Verizon Connect

R&M Trucking, a Midwest-based carrier founded in 1976 with a 200-heavy-duty-truck fleet that hauls street freight, rail containers, flatbeds and airport cargo, needed a way to manage regulatory compliance, monitor safety and eliminate time-consuming paper processes while maintaining strong customer service. To address these challenges they turned to Verizon Connect, deploying its Reveal fleet-tracking and Logbook HOS/eLog solutions.

Verizon Connect implemented Reveal for real-time driver location and ETAs and Logbook for FMCSA HOS monitoring and automated alerts, rolling the solution out ahead of the December 2017 ELD mandate. The result: improved safety scores and clearer driver behavior oversight, reliable HOS compliance, rapid installations, elimination of mountains of paper logs via cloud filing, and measurable productivity gains as drivers and staff spent far less time on manual logging and reporting.
