Larry’s Limos, a chauffeur and executive transport company serving greater Birmingham, AL, needed real-time visibility into driver locations and better fleet oversight to improve customer wait times, driver accountability, vehicle safety and maintenance for its seven vehicles. To solve this, the company installed Verizon Connect GPS fleet tracking.

Verizon Connect delivered Live Map tracking, automatic Weekly Reports and real-time alerts for speeding, maintenance and idling across the seven-vehicle fleet. As a result, Larry’s Limos reduced customer wait times by dispatching the closest driver, cut fuel costs by eliminating unauthorized driving and excessive idling, improved driver accountability and safety, and even recovered a stolen vehicle (losing only about $20 in gas); reports also provide ignition on/off, idling, drive time, distance and out-of-state mileage for ongoing maintenance.
