Dallas Plumbing Company, a full‑service plumbing, air‑conditioning and heating provider in the Dallas area with a 54‑vehicle fleet, needed to improve efficiencies and lower operating costs. After an initial Fleetmatics installation failed to meet all their needs, the company selected Verizon Connect’s GPS fleet‑tracking solution to gain better visibility and control.
Verizon Connect deployed a web‑based tracking system with alerts (geofence, vehicle activity, speeding and idling) and detailed management reports across the 54 vehicles; alerts are sent directly to the service manager’s phone and reports identify excessive idle time and route inefficiencies. As a result, Dallas Plumbing cut fuel waste through reduced idling and speeding, improved customer dispute resolution, strengthened vehicle security and faster recovery of stolen trucks — delivering measurable reductions in fuel use and speeding incidents and stronger overall fleet control under Verizon Connect.
