A Verizon Connect Case Study
Camping Companies, Inc., one of the largest wholly owned repossession companies headquartered in Phoenix with branches throughout the Southwest, faced challenges controlling a 61‑vehicle mobile workforce, preventing territory overlap, and improving field efficiency and customer response. To address these issues the company installed the Verizon Connect fleet tracking solution across its fleet to gain real‑time visibility and better manage employees in the field.
Verizon Connect implemented Live Map, Detailed Reports, dashboards and GPS Truck Tracking to give dispatchers and managers a street‑level view of vehicle locations, monitor speed and hours worked, and identify routing inefficiencies. As a result Camping Companies, Inc. achieved better territory control, improved driving behavior, routing efficiencies, and reduced speeding and idling; managers can now prove vehicle speeds after incidents and dispatch the nearest truck immediately (for example, responding the same day to a job 60 miles from Sacramento instead of waiting days). Verizon Connect’s tools are used daily by branch dispatchers and have measurably improved service and liability management.
