Verizon puts NASCAR on the fast track to enhance the fan experience

The customer, NASCAR, faced the challenge of improving wireless communications services at its 12 owned racetracks to enhance the experience for fans who wished to share content and follow races. The enormous size of these outdoor venues made providing reliable cellular service difficult. To address this, NASCAR partnered with vendor Verizon Business for wireless telecommunications and 5G mobility solutions.

Verizon Business implemented a solution to upgrade in-venue wireless communications, starting with improved Wi-Fi service across the 12 racetracks over a three-year period. As NASCAR's Official Wireless Telecommunications and 5G Mobility Partner, Verizon's work provided vastly improved connectivity. This allowed fans to reliably capture and share photos and videos, follow their favorite drivers, and connect with other fans, successfully ushering in a new era of enhanced experiences at large outdoor venues for the sport.
