Datacom is a Wellington-based IT services firm serving the Asia Pacific region with more than 4,900 staff and 13 data centers. Datacom partnered with Veritas to deploy NetBackup (including appliances and a self-service portal), Enterprise Vault (on‑premises and cloud) and Data Insight to classify data and enforce retention. The results: protection of over 16 PB of uncompressed data per month, a major 22-appliance NetBackup deployment for an Australian government bureau that removed tape complexity, lower costs and faster recoveries, and improved archive usability—contributing to Datacom’s sustained regional growth and partner awards.
