A Veritas Technologies Case Study
Metro de Madrid, which operates 301 stations and serves more than two million commuters daily, needed to guarantee uninterrupted operation of its critical systems and databases across two data processing centers. To meet strict service-level agreements while simplifying and automating cluster and disaster-recovery management in a complex, heterogeneous environment, the transit operator required a reliable, scalable high-availability solution.
For the past 20 years Metro Madrid has used Veritas InfoScale to provide automated failover, hot‑swap disk management, volume-level snapshotting and centralized cluster/storage management across Solaris, Linux, Windows, VMware and large SAN environments. The deployment delivers continuous automated recovery, 99.99% reliability, improved service levels and simpler operations for over 1,000 VMs and more than 1,000 TB of storage, backed by 24x7 support.
