Bancolombia, the largest bank in Colombia, needed nonstop availability for its critical fraud-detection application but found its legacy cloud replication solution unreliable—frequent reboots caused lost snapshots and produced RPOs of two to three days, leaving the bank unprepared for a real disaster and failing compliance expectations.

The bank implemented Veritas InfoScale, using stable block replication and automated failover to its DR cloud. Recovery time fell from multiple days to about 10 minutes, RPO is now near zero, compliance testing returned positive results, and the IT continuity team gained confidence—Bancolombia is now planning to migrate additional services to the solution.
