Major Employee Benefits Consultancy, a South African financial‑services SME, had outgrown its legacy tape-based backup system and needed a more efficient, scalable way to protect customer data across multiple sites in Africa while reducing manual tape handling and operational risk.

Infoprotect, a Veritas Business Partner, deployed Veritas Backup Exec with disk-to-disk local backups at each site, centralized management, network replication and deduplication, plus off-site archival. The new solution cut staff time, cost and tape-related errors, improved security and visibility from a single console, and was rolled out countrywide in about three months with ongoing support.
